When you factor in the likelihood (1%) of a unit marking, this example is even more unique and perhaps incredibly unique given the unusual marking and the position on the rear grips strap. We would like pictures, but you describe a very nice Luger. The white seen in markings on some pistols is not original; it is added by collectors to show up the markings in picures, so the absence of white is perfectly OK.
